Today, we went to Best Buy. It’s a sales tax holiday in Tennessee.  They cancelled the one back in the spring due to lack of money, but things are looking infinitessimally ok now, and the kids will need clothes and school supplies, so for one weekend the state forgoes its pound of flesh, which in this county is damn near a tithe. Fortunately, one does not need a child in school to accept the gift.  After all, who’s giving me the breather?  Me.  The tax money’s mine, for my roads and schools and cops and thousands of other things I wouldn’t, couldn’t manage on my own.  I am a tax and spend Democrat, and I say yea for me.

I’m BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!! not dead, not abandoning the blog forever, just swamped…. with life and motherhood and career and “to do’s” and all that other schtuff.   So here is what’s been happening…   Happy Birthday to mwwwwah!! and my Grandma Bonnie too!! I haven’t been feeling well lately so my bed and television have become my BFFs this past week. Which of course meant a chance to catch up on the daytime TV. Aside from catching up on my favorite soaps and a healthy dose of Noggin and Sprout with Peanut, I caught Friday’s Oprah and the revisit with Dr. Laura Berman.
